Very Busy Mamá – Childbirth, red toe nails and face powder
Three years ago on this very day in our small flat in London I woke up at 6.00 am with cramps. I was 38 weeks pregnant and suffering with pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure). I turned to the Mr. and said, “today is the day”. I had been given a sweep the day before so I knew for sure Little M was on his way.
FM – Organic Surge – ‘Your Skin’s Best Friend’
Today I’m going to rave about a new skincare range I’ve discovered; it’s called Organic Surge and it’s pretty much fantastic. I suffer from dry skin and I find the condition gets worse as I get older, for years I’ve been searching for a good moisturiser for dry skin which will fix the problem and doesn’t cost the earth and laaaaa! Now I have!
WAHM-BAM! – Finally a shaving system that actually works for me
I do have extremely hairy legs, as it turns out. I don’t know whether that was down to this early foray into shaving or whether it was just genetic – I think the latter is most probable. And I have a hideous time getting rid of the hair. Waxing and epilating and the like don’t work very well, because it grows back at different rates and I usually have some stubble within a few hours, let alone a day.
An Essex Wife – Alamay Chocolate Shea Butter Lip Balm
January; the month of the diet! It’s cold, wet and windy and all you want it is to snuggle on the sofa with a film and a family size bar of galaxy instead you are there with a handful of raisins and a rice cake. Rubbish isn’t it?
I’ve been searching for little luxuries to make these winter months a bit more bearable and exciting and By Jove I think I have found the best one yet! I present to you, Alamay Chocolate flavoured Shea Butter Lip Balm.
Margot and Barbara – Sprinkles: Why it’s time for serious skincare.
Alongside this revelation is my lovely son’s obsession with my ‘sprinkles’. I must have spent most of my life being in a state of shock because I always seem to raise my eyebrows. Always. Which means that although I’m not massively wrinkly on the rest of my face, I do have lines across my forehead, deep furrows like perfectly ploughed field.
